Patient Consultations: Conduct assessments to evaluate patients’ hearing aid needs in collaboration with the audiologist, discussing lifestyle, preferences, and hearing challenges.

Hearing Aid Fitting and Programming: Select, fit, and program hearing aids using advanced technology to ensure optimal performance and patient comfort.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the use, care, and maintenance of hearing aids, as well as realistic expectations for outcomes.

Follow-Up Care: Provide ongoing support, including adjustments, troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance of hearing aids to ensure long-term satisfaction.

Collaboration: Work closely with the audiologist and otolaryngology team to coordinate care, review diagnostic results, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including fitting notes, follow-up visits, and communications, in compliance with practice protocols and regulatory standards.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage hearing aid inventory, ensuring availability of devices and accessories while coordinating with suppliers as needed.

Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with advancements in hearing aid technology, industry trends, and best practices through continuing education and professional development.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a hearing aid specialist training program or associate’s degree in hearing instrument sciences preferred.

Licensure: Valid state license or certification as a Hearing Aid Specialist (or eligibility to obtain licensure within [state-specific timeframe]).

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience fitting and dispensing hearing aids, preferably in a clinical or medical setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with hearing aid fitting software, diagnostic equipment, and real-ear measurement systems.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients of all ages.

- Experience working in an otolaryngology or audiology practice.

This is the premier Otolaryngology practice in the Florida Panhandle. The new, state of the art, 12,000 square foot facility houses a comprehensive Allergy and Sinus Center, Audiology, Sleep Medicine with Sleep Laboratory, and a Physical Therapy and Balance Center.
We have partnered with FYZICAL to offer the best treatment paradigm available for dizziness and balance disorders as well as orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. The 2000 square foot gym area features an overhead track system and premier rehabilitation equipment. The Balance Center features comprehensive Audiology, Videonystagmography, and a Bertec Computed Dynamic Posturography unit.
